Job Description

Responsible for ensuring safety and security by managing traffic flow at events, loading ramps, and driveways in order to keep everyone safe. This position reports to the Security Manager at ASM GLOBAL Moscone Center. Responsibilities include reporting to post in full uniform and ready to work, overseeing and instituting daily driveway and ramp status, assuring smooth traffic flow at loading ramps and driveways, directing all deliveries to appropriate receiving points, monitoring assigned or permitted parking spaces to prevent congestion or unauthorized vehicles, preventing unauthorized personnel from entering the facility via ramps, maintaining necessary records of ramp activity including logging all vehicles and persons, assuring vehicle passes are completed and placed inside vehicle windshields, providing guests and clients with facility information, and following all policies, procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established onsite. Must comply with all ASM Global policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications include good verbal and written communication skills, ability to listen and follow instructions, customer friendly, self-motivated, ability to work long and irregular hours including day, evening, overnight, weekends and holidays, and effective communication with guests, clients, vendors, and other personnel. Physical requirements include occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force, work in moderately noisy locations, long periods of standing and walking, exposure to inside and outside environmental conditions including extreme cold, heat, and rain, and ability to withstand large crowds.
