As the Quality Assurance Director in the Food Manufacturing industry, you will be at the helm of our company's quality assurance initiatives. This position is not for the faint-hearted, as you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality and safety standards. You will be the guardian of our reputation, ensuring that our customers only receive the best from us. This role requires a professional who is well-versed in HACCP, Corrective Actions, GFSI, CAPA, Food Safety Audits, and FDA and USDA food regulations. This position demands a minimum of 7+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure that our products meet the highest standards and comply with all relevant regulations.
• Lead the development and execution of HACCP plans, ensuring that all potential hazards are identified and controlled.
• Oversee Corrective Actions and CAPA processes, ensuring that all non-conformities are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Manage GFSI certification processes and maintain our certification status.
• Conduct regular Food Safety Audits, identifying areas of improvement and taking necessary actions to address any issues.
• Ensure compliance with FDA and USDA food regulations, keeping abreast of any changes and ensuring that our practices are up to date.
• Train and mentor staff in quality assurance principles and practices, fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role in the Manufacturing industry.
• Extensive knowledge of HACCP, Corrective Actions, GFSI, CAPA, Food Safety Audits, and FDA and USDA food regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Proven experience in managing GFSI certification processes and maintaining certification status.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address non-conformities effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that no potential hazard goes unnoticed.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex quality assurance concepts to staff at all levels of the organization.
