Product Owner, Imaging AI Algorithms

Primary Skills:

Azure, analytical, packaging, the client is seeking an experienced, user-focused Product Owner for Imaging AI Algorithms, preferably with a background in healthcare or life sciences. This role requires defining product vision and roadmap for algorithm hosting, and distribution, with a focus on self-service and portability. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AI/ML in medical imaging (radiology, digital pathology), experience with Agile/Scrum, and familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP). Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

We are seeking an experienced and user-focused Product Owner to drive the strategy and execution for our imaging AI algorithms hosting, packaging, and distribution platform. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between technical development and end-user needs in the life sciences and healthcare imaging domain. You will be responsible for ensuring our AI algorithms are easily deployable, portable, and accessible, empowering users with self-service capabilities for algorithm hosting and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for imaging AI algorithms hosting, packaging, and distribution, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Gather and prioritize product requirements from internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, data scientists, and developers.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise product requirements and user stories for development teams.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Focus on user experience and ease of use, ensuring self-service capabilities for algorithm hosting and development are intuitive and efficient.
  • Work closely with engineering, MLOps, and AI teams to ensure successful development, testing, and deployment of features.
  • Manage the backlog, prioritize features, and define acceptance criteria for user stories.
  • Facilitate efficient packaging and distribution mechanisms for imaging algorithms, ensuring portability across various environments.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in AI, medical imaging, and cloud platforms.
  • Communicate product updates, progress, and challenges to stakeholders regularly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a clinical discipline with a strong technical understanding.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in the healthcare, life sciences, or medical imaging industry.
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, particularly as applied to medical imaging (radiology, digital pathology).
  • Experience with software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum).
  • Familiarity with algorithm packaging and distribution technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, containerization).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services relevant to AI/ML deployment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to product decisions.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Understanding of regulatory requirements and data privacy standards in the healthcare sector.
