We are seeking a hands-on and solution-oriented Lead NetSuite Developer to drive the design, development, and optimization of our NetSuite ERP platform. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in SuiteScript (1.0/2.0), SuiteTalk, and RESTlets, and will act as the technical lead for customizations, enhancements, and NetSuite integrations with internal and external systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and external partners to support scalable business processes through ERP innovations.

About the Role

The Lead NetSuite Developer will be responsible for leading the technical development of the NetSuite platform, ensuring that all integrations and customizations are executed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

NetSuite Development

  • Lead end-to-end NetSuite technical development using SuiteScript 2.0, RESTlets, SuiteTalk (SOAP/REST), and Workflows.
  • Develop custom solutions such as custom records, user interfaces, Suitelets, scheduled scripts, client/server scripts, and REST APIs.
  • Maintain and enhance NetSuite integrations with 3rd-party systems (e.g., CRM, e-commerce, WMS, custom apps).
  • Create and maintain saved searches, reports, dashboards, and KPIs to support business insights.

System Integration & Architecture

  • Design scalable and maintainable integration patterns between NetSuite and external systems using middleware (e.g., Boomi, Celigo, Mulesoft, custom APIs).
  • Manage and optimize data sync, import/export routines, and error handling mechanisms.

Project Delivery & Leadership

  • Collaborate with business analysts, finance, and operations teams to gather and validate technical requirements.
  • Provide technical direction and mentoring to junior NetSuite developers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure quality and performance benchmarks.
  • Participate in NetSuite release management and coordinate testing for new features or patches.

Testing & Troubleshooting

  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues related to performance, data integrity, or system errors.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT for all development work.
  • Monitor system health and proactively identify improvement opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in NetSuite technical development.

Proficient in:

  • SuiteScript 1.0 and 2.0 (JavaScript-based scripting)
  • SuiteTalk (Web Services – SOAP/REST)
  • RESTlets, Suitelets, Client & Server Scripts, Scheduled Scripts
  • SuiteFlow (workflow automation)

  • Strong knowledge of NetSuite ERP modules:
  • Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), Financials, Inventory, Fixed Assets

Experience with:

  • Saved Searches, Custom Reports, Custom Forms, Role-Based Dashboards
  • Integration tools (Boomi, Celigo, MuleSoft, or custom APIs)
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, SQL, JSON, XML, and Git.

Leadership & Business Skills

  • Ability to lead technical discussions and coach junior developers.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into ERP solutions.
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • NetSuite certifications (e.g., SuiteFoundation, ERP Consultant, SuiteCloud Developer).
  • Experience with eCommerce (Shopify, Magento), CRM (Salesforce), or POS integrations.
  • Exposure to Finance/Accounting principles or working with finance teams.
  • Experience in ERP implementation or system migration projects.
  • Will be an advantage to have the Title Insurance domain knowledge.
