LATIN TEACHER

Nazareth Academy High School is a Catholic, private, fully-accredited college preparatory school for young women, sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education, or related field.
- Pennsylvania State Certification or Master's Degree preferred
Personal:
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with administration, faculty, students, and parents to support a high-quality educational experience for all learners
- Receptive to constructive feedback and committed to ongoing professional improvement
- Capable of maintaining composure and sound judgment in high-pressure or challenging situations
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to design and implement effective instructional strategies
- Flexible and responsive to evolving classroom dynamics, curriculum changes, and school initiatives
- Must successfully complete all required background checks, including Criminal Background Check, Fingerprinting, and Child Abuse Clearances, in accordance with state and school regulations
Major Responsibilities:
- Instructional Responsibilities: Deliver engaging instruction in Latin Levels 1, 2, 3, 4/AP.
- Curriculum Planning: Develop and maintain up-to-date, well-structured lesson plans.
- Submit plans in accordance with school policies.
- Collaborative Engagement: Work collaboratively with World Language Department colleagues to support curriculum development, interdisciplinary learning, and department goals.
- Classroom Environment: Create a positive, orderly, and student-centered classroom environment that reflects the values of Catholic education and supports the mission of Nazareth Academy High School.
- Student Supervision and Discipline: Maintain effective student management and ensure the safety, attentiveness, and well-being of students in the classroom and during school-related activities.
- Assessment and Reporting: Accurately record and report student attendance, academic progress, and performance in accordance with school procedures. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and provide timely communication regarding student development.
- Co-Curricular Involvement: Support student growth by voluntarily participating in and supervising school-approved co-curricular activities, events, and functions.
- Professional Growth: Demonstrate a commitment to professional development by actively pursuing opportunities for continued learning and growth.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support the school's educational mission and operational needs.
Evaluation:
• Performance for this position will be evaluated on an annual basis by the NAHS administration

• Salary dependent upon experience and academic degree
