Cargas is excited to welcome a Communications Specialist to our Shared Services team. Reporting to the VP of Business Operations, you will play a key role in shaping how we connect, collaborate, and communicate - both across our company and externally. Your work will strengthen employee engagement, support business priorities, and ensure a consistent and authentic Cargas brand across all channels.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and execute thoughtful internal communication strategies that bring our culture and strategy to life.
  • Use a variety of communication channels to ensure prompt, clear, and consistent messaging.
  • Create content across multiple channels—email, intranet, newsletters, presentations, and more.
  • Design and produce PowerPoint presentations for internal meetings and create branded templates for company-wide use.
  • Maintain and continuously improve internal platforms (such as our intranet), ensuring content is current, relevant, and user-friendly.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to update and align corporate areas of the website, including the Careers page.
  • Partner with Marketing on corporate social media efforts.
  • Coordinate public relations activities and manage award submissions for the company and individual team members.
  • Define and contribute to a consistent and authentic “Voice of Cargas” across all communication channels.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure communication is aligned and impactful.

Qualifications:

  • Based in or near Lancaster, PA, and available for in-person collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience in corporate/internal communications.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a focus on clarity and engagement.
  • Experience creating visuals and presentations using PowerPoint, Canva, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with internal platforms like intranets, digital signage, or employee apps.
  • Confidence using AI to draft, edit, or enhance communication.
