Job Summary/Basic Function:

About This Role:
The Department of Psychology at Lamar University invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Successful candidates will:

• Teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate- (e.g., general psychology, I/O psychology, introduction to statistics, research methods) and masters-level (e.g., organizational behavior, leadership, performance management, recruitment & selection).
• Maintain an active program of research that (ideally) involves undergraduate and graduate students.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate student research.
• Serve on graduate student thesis committees.
• Actively engage in service to the department, college, and university.

What Youll Do Position Responsibilities:

• Implement effective teaching strategies while teaching a 4/4 load fall & spring semesters
• Provide clinical supervision to graduate students.
• Actively participate in academic service at the department, college, and university levels.
• Serve on graduate student thesis committees.

• This position requires a minimum of a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. ABD applicants will be considered; however, the applicant must have earned their doctorate prior to August 2025.
