Job Description

Responsibilities & Duties:

· Learn and understand all GLOBAL G.A.P. Food Safety programs and PrimusGFS programs for Facilities

· Work with a team of food safety consultants to effectively and efficiently manage grower accounts

· Manage daily grower meetings; strong communication skills are required

· Perform quality checks in accordance with our GLOBAL G.A.P. Food Safety Grower guidelines

· Ability to communicate effectively with growers, harvest crews and general farm labor contractors

· May have to provide food safety and hygiene training to farm labor

· Other duties as directed by supervisors

· Must be passionate about delivering excellent customer service

Qualifications:

· A High School Diploma or GED

· Degree in food science or agricultural related preferred, not required

· Clean Driving record as well as reliable vehicle

· Strong interest in Food Safety and Agriculture

· Knowledge of production agriculture, a plus

· Previous experience with Food Safety, a plus

· Familiarization with GLOBAL G.A.P., a plus

· CPR and First-Aid certification, a plus

· Any agricultural related certifications preferred, but not required

· Able to work well in a team oriented environment

· Critical thinker with strong organizational, problem-solving skills

· Highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to make ethical and sound decisions

· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

· Proven ability to prioritize and multitask

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel

· Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
